General Dynamics wins 64 mln usd missile system contract from Spanish army

MADRID (Thomson Financial) - General Dynamics European Land Systems said its General Dynamics Santa Barbara Sistemas unit in Spain has signed a 64 mln usd contract with the Spanish Army for the supply of Air Land Spike Missile Systems for its HAD Tiger helicopters.

It said the contract calls for the manufacture of 44 launchers and 200 missiles for the HAD Tiger helicopters. In addition, General Dynamics (nyse: GD - news - people ) Santa Barbara Sistemas will provide integrated logistics support. Work is expected to be completed by 2012.
